The mission of the Rapid City Woodworkers Association (RCWA) is to promote the skills of woodworkers in the Black Hills and to encourage all woodworkers in the pursuit of excellence, technical facility, and safety.

The purpose of the RCWA is to:

• Promote woodworking safety, skills and knowledge, for the amateur, professional and student craftsperson.
• Teach and aid fellow members through discussions, lectures, demonstration, seminars, field trips, and publications.
• Enhance the quality of life for underprivileged children of the Black Hills by making and distributing holiday gifts and toys to charitable organizations in the local area.
• Support the efforts of community service organizations in the Black Hills through volunteer woodworking activities.
