Preparation efforts for our next workshop included sealing toys and spray finishing toys. Approximately 14 boxes of toys were ready for spray finish and twelve boxes were ready for sealing. Sealing always raises the grain of the wood, so these toys will need hand sanding before applying a spray finish. Most of the time, a spray finish is the last operation before installing wheels on the toys. Occasionally, a little hand sanding is needed after a spray finish is applied. It all depends on the condition of the wood before spraying.

Two boxes of helicopters will need rotor axle holes drilled on top of helicopters. One box needs additional sanding before sealing. All hoops need sanding. Some ladders need sanding before sealing. All sealed toys will need sanding (about 300). One box of bears will need sanding before wheels. About 485 toys are ready for wheels.

We brought all boxes to the Wood Shop on Tuesday 6.6.2023. Lauree dropped by to help us position boxes at the proper work stations. We also located more basketball back boards and tugboat cabins. Might need to spray some truck wheels.
