Tonight’s Scroll Saw Special Interest Group was held at Rick’s Shop at 7 pm. This was a working scrollsaw workshop with FIVE scrollsaws all fired up, with members cutting Christmas Ornaments and Christmas Trees in preparation for our December Family Christmas Potluck – planned for Dec 11th. We will be decorating a tree as part of the event.
Buffalo on Osage Orange
Trees were made using a RELIEF CUTTING technique – the table was tilted 3 degrees down on the left side. The patterns was cut starting on the right side, going counterclockwise. When done, the pieces protrude forward from the piece it was cut from.
